1.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device

Meridian stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Selected Locations: The cities and timezones you add to your world clock list
• Location Order: The arrangement of your selected locations
• App Preferences: Your settings such as 12/24-hour time format and haptic feedback preferences
• Subscription Status: Information regarding your Meridian Premium status (Monthly or Lifetime).
• Calendar Data: Busy intervals and event states from your device’s local calendar (iCloud, Google, Outlook, etc.).

This data is stored using Apple’s SwiftData (iOS) and Android’s local storage mechanisms, and never leaves your device.

1.2 Information We Do NOT Collect

Meridian does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data or GPS coordinates
• Device identifiers
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Any data to external servers

1.3 Calendar Integration

Meridian requests access to your device’s calendar (via Apple EventKit) to display busy indicators on your timeline. This access is read-only. We do not collect, store, or transmit your event titles, attendees, locations, or notes. All calendar processing happens in real-time on your device.

2. Third-Party Services

2.1 App Store Platforms

When you download Meridian from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, those platforms may collect their own data according to their respective privacy policies:

2.2 In-App Purchases

Meridian Premium subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information. All billing is handled by the respective platform according to their terms and privacy policies.

2.3 Analytics

We may receive aggregated, anonymized analytics from Apple App Store Connect or Google Play Console about app downloads and general usage patterns. This data does not identify individual users.

3. Data Security

Since all your data remains on your device, it is protected by your device’s built-in security features, including:

• Device encryption
• Passcode/biometric protection
• App sandboxing

We recommend keeping your device’s operating system up to date to benefit from the latest security patches.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data remains on your device as long as you have the app installed. To delete all Meridian data, simply uninstall the app from your device. This will permanently remove all locally stored preferences and settings.

5. Children’s Privacy

Meridian is a general-audience application suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age (or applicable age in your jurisdiction). Since we collect no personal data, there is no risk of collecting children’s information.

6. International Users

Meridian is available worldwide. Since no data is transmitted from your device, there are no cross-border data transfers. Your data remains in the jurisdiction where your device is located.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data. However, since Meridian does not collect or store personal data on external servers, most data protection rights (such as access, rectification, or erasure requests) are exercised directly through your device settings or by uninstalling the app.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the App after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
